Bella is the most capable practice manager at Barkly St Dental, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and patients receive the best possible experience. She’s passionate about supporting both the team and patients. Outside of work, Bella enjoys spending time with her family and partner and playing netball
ROWENA – Dental Practitioner (Dental Surgeon)
Dr Rowena Calma graduated in 2000 and has gained extensive experience practicing dentistry across Southeast Asia, Africa, and Australia over the past 25 years.She has worked in both public and private practice settings, as well as in mobile dental services providing care to schools, aged-care facilities, and patients with special needs. She also participates in outreach programs that deliver dental services to remote communities.Dr Calma has a professional interest in paediatric, geriatric, and special-needs dentistry and is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics.Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and exploring waterfalls.
MICHAEL– Dental Practitioner (Principal OHT)
Michael is a qualified Oral Health Therapist who graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014. Since then, he has worked in both private and public dental clinics across rural Queensland, rural Victoria, and suburban Melbourne, gaining valuable clinical experience with a wide range of patients. He has completed further professional development in cosmetic and physiologically based dentistry and has a particular interest in periodontal therapy (gum health) and paediatric dentistry. Outside of his professional life, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and watching new movies.
JAMES- Dental Practitioner (Dental Surgeon)
Dr James completed a Master of Dentistry at Griffith University and has since gained valuable experience working in regional Western Australia before settling in Victoria. He enjoys all areas of general dentistry, including emergency care, and aims to make every appointment as comfortable as possible—especially for patients who may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. Outside of work, Dr Falsay enjoys playing tennis, reading, and spending time with his family.
TASH – Dental Assistant
Tash is a friendly and dedicated dental assistant at Barkly Street Dental. Known for her kindness and helpful nature, she loves making patients feel at ease. Outside of work, Tash enjoys spending time with her family and partner, cooking, and studying at university.
SALLY – Dental Assistant
Sally is one of our friendly and caring Dental Assistants at Barkly Street Dental. With her kind, easy-going nature, she loves helping patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit. Outside of the clinic, Sally enjoys keeping active through sport and spending quality time with her friends and family.
